MKBHD best known for his technology-focused videos. January 2009 when he started uploading technology videos while still in high school, about new products or reviews of products he already owned. The first hundred videos that he produces are about hardware tutorials and freeware. It was highlighted by some technology company and he gained offers to demonstrate their paid software and hardware, but only reviews products that would be of interest to his audience of technology enthusiasts.

He grew up in Maplewood, New Jersey. He took up a major in business and information technology at the Howe School at Stevens Institute of Technology. After he graduated in college in May 2015 he then focuses on Youtube creating videos full time. At first, all his videos were produced at his apartment until he moved out in 2016, and he now works out of a studio in Kearny, New Jersey, using RED video equipment. He owns a Tesla Model S P100D which he used occasionally to his channel featuring the advanced technology of the said Model S electric car. 

Brownlee previously played for the now-folded New Jersey Hammerheads which was in the now-defunct league Major League Ultimate (MLU). Brownlee currently plays for the New York Empire of the AUDL.

As for today, he is known for his content about smartphones. He comes up by stating all the niche phone reviews that consumers might ask. “What’s the battery life? How’s the camera? How’s the day-to-day experience?” At this consumers and viewers gets more interested in his video which is informative and useful.

As of today, MKBHD gained 10.2M subscribers in his channel, making MKBHD one of the most subscribed-to “tech-based” YouTube channels. He posts two to three videos per week with an average of over 9,000 subscribers every day. MKBHD has over 1,197 videos uploaded as of January 2020 with 1,688,160,945 views, He has $191k earnings per month with about $2.3M per year 

MKBHD takes some extra income from affiliate marketing whereby the links posted from his video gest paid whenever viewers purchase the product vis links and thus he gets a commission. He also makes an income from top brands with big companies like Google, D Brand, and others.

He also entertains millions on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, where he often shares images of his family. From his  YouTube with  10.2 million subscribers, Instagram with  2.4 million followers, Facebook — 300k page likes and Twitter with  3.7 million followers.

HOW TO BE A successful youtuber?

As for creating Youtube channels, think for “BRANDING”, this tells what you are, what you want and what you want to share. Next is “CONTENT” you have to create good and perfect content that would be more engaging for your viewer, For this try to be more at first educational and more at niche as possible, always think for what other people would be searching for from youtube. Be more searchable! Focus on more of the “QUALITY” of your content. Next is to have a community engagement and have the authority of your channel after building and creating it. To build a successful channel always remember to KEEP it Simple, Stay on your NICHE, be CONSISTENT, and focus on your QUALITY over QUANTITY. You need to consistently upload quality videos with content people find interesting, relatable and engaging.

Don’t focus on the number of subscribers’ growth, focus on the quality of your community, the comments on your videos and also your views that is what matters to continue the growth of your channel after creating it and sustaining it. Always make sure you have a clear INTENTION of creating your channel and a clear OBJECTIVE and on moving forward.

So for beginners, you can monetize from youtube first from joining the YouTube Partner Program. On which YouTubers to be paid through views and through advertisements served on their page. For a channel to be eligible for monetization, it will have to meet the following requirements. Have at least 1,000 subscribers; Have at least 4,000 hours of watch time within the past 12 months, and Channel/content must adhere to the YouTube Partner Program policies, YouTube Terms of Service, YouTube spam policies, and the Community Guidelines. Once approved, you can start making money. Next is from YouTube affiliate marketing is a marketing arrangement in which an online retailer pays a commission to YouTubers for traffic or sales generated from the YouTubers’ referrals. Where you typically see this from YouTubers what they do is unboxing the product you’re trying to sell, creating a video in which they recommend the product or service and also video reviewing the product. From this Advertisers will pay YouTubers based on CTR (click-through rate, or how many people click that link you included), conversation rate (how many people actually buy the product through your link) and then commission on the product itself. The last YouTube sponsorships usually famous and successful YouTubers received this offer from different brands. On which brand pays the YouTuber to create a one-off video specifically about a product launch, a company event, a site opening, or something similar. Or, the brand sponsors the entire YouTube channel and then the YouTuber has to recommend (or use when appropriate) the product in every video and ask subscribers to check the link leading to the brand websites.
