Hello. My name is Laney Stroud. I am a model from Ohio and I am signed with three agencies. I recently was signed in NY with NYMMG. I attended Bishop Ready High School and was in the Beta Club and on the Honor Roll. I also cheered for football and basketball. I currently am attending College for nutrition. In my spare time I like to spend time with my family and friends. Here are a few of my favorite things Sunflowers, the color blue, coffee, shopping, Netflix, makeup. My all time favorite place to vacation is Marco Island.
How do you cope under the pressures of being a model?
I wouldn’t say I get to caught up in the pressures but sometimes I get really busy trying to fit everything in, that’s when I need to slow it down a bit.
What made you first become a model?
I was told from an early age that I should become a model because my long legs so I took a chance and it all worked out.
What are some of your favorite designers or stores?
My favorite designer are Gucci and Calvin Klein.
What beauty tips do you swear by?
I never go to bed with makeup on and I moisturize twice a day. Drink lots of water in my Coldest water bottle of course.
Who was your role model as a child an how did that help in being a model?
My sister was my first role model and she still is today. She is very creative and beautiful.
What are guilty pleasures food wise?
I love Chick-fil-A, Pizza, Chipotle.
How did you feel when you did your first ever fashion show or photoshoot?
I loved my first photoshoot I was not nervous at all. My first fashion show was so much fun it’s a great feeling to show case designers creations.
If you were not a model, what other profession would you have been doing instead?
Well I’m majoring in nutrition, so I will ultimately be a dietitian.
If a young girl/boy wanted to be a model what would your advice for them be?
I get asked that question a lot on Instagram and I tell everyone don’t be afraid to apply. If you get turned down then try another agency. Don’t give up.
