56 and keto for 6 months. Ran for the first time ever in my life today (NSV!) doing the Couch/5K program…it wasn’t pretty, but I got it done. Question for you athletic types: I know not to snack between meals to keep insulin down as much as possible, but did I read somewhere that one should take some type of nutrition after a work out? Is running a workout? Or does “workout” only mean lifting…? What do you recommend for a noob?
Well done! The first step is the hardest. I love C25k. Excellent program. Keto Athlete guys say that eating protein within 4 hours of working out helps build lean muscle mass. But don’t force a meal. I workout fasted in the morning and then eat afterward.
