Advice please. My tank has high ph, and I may have tracked the cause to a piece of decor. Once I take it out and confirm it’s the problem, how ii get ph back down? It’s dangerous high, lost some fish. Stick with normal routine. %30 weekly change next one Sunday? Add carbon to filter and stick to routine? Bunch of small water changes? Looking for quick way with least shock.

I suggest a series of smaller water changes. Curious though; when testing your tap PH, do you test on water that has sat for 2 days to get a true PH reading? Mine rises, but not to the degree you’re experiencing. Good luck.

How high is it? If they are not really stressed, I would just allow it to come down normally through regular water changes.

Try smaller wc. 15% every 2-3 days till the tank ph matches the tap. The fish will slowly adjust and not go into shock.
