Anybody into fasting here? I exercise five or six times a week, but I need to eat to have energy. I’ve been reading all kinds of articles telling me the benefits of fasting but I don’t know if it’s possible for me. Do you fast? How long and how do you do it?
I do intermittent fasting each day, about 16 hours from my last meal of the day to my first meal the next day. I do have a keto blended coffee about 12 hours after dinner, and that helps get me through to lunch. I haven’t done any longer fasts, and don’t have any plans to right now (currently putting in a lot of miles for marathon training), but I’m interested to see what other folks have to say.
When you are not eating, you *are* fasting. Simply extend that ‘not eating’ by one hour. Doing this extension before every eating time and increasing the extension each time, you will soon find yourself in a regular routine of EF – Extended Fasting. It isn’t really difficult, but it takes some discipline to form it into a habit.
