Anyone have any tips for severe gym anxiety?

Hey, okay so i work in a huge gym, and all i want to say is we don’t look at you. We don’t judge you. Infact its an honour if help is asked. Don’t think you look stupid because unless you’re doing weights with your eyebrows, you’re not.

As for other customers, they dont stare either. They’re just looking around catching their breath and you happen to be in their veiw

Treat the gym like school the faster you start the faster you finish! I would try to work out with a friend for support.

I always felt comforable in a gym when I was younger, I never focused on anyone else and I doubt anyone looked at me, I thought “we are all here for the same reason” but as an adult, 2 babies later, I am trying to lose long overdue babyweight, I don’t myself the above again again and started to feel comfortable then a girl smirked “oh my god” and laughed at me and all my gym-confidence was swept away from me. Now I love actually being there but getting me through the door is a mission.

Same here i dread every morning going the gym glad i have a supportive hubby who drags me there lol. Once there i put my headphones on an get lost in my music everyone becomes a blur i know i need to do the gym to tone an loose weight its so hard but you will get there
