Are there any success stories out there of people who reversed cancer by means of ketogenic diet (without any of the “traditional” treatment)? Asking for a friend who’s been diagnosed. I’m trying to get him to consider trying keto. Hearing/reading some stories from people who’ve had success with it would maybe convince him.
Even in the most rabid pro-keto-for-cancer strategies, keto is adjunct therapy, meaning supporting and along side. I would make a strong case for why keto is neutral to favorable, but I would never make the claim it has some ability to reverse or remission cancer. That’s not true nor is it something I would ever consider for myself.
I was on keto when I had a recurrence of breast cancer to Lung 4 yrs later. So I don’t by any means feel keto prevents or cures cancer. It has helped my diabetes tremendously though. It doesn’t hurt but I still do the traditional chemo for my chances of survival.
I have chronic lymphocytic leukemia and was heading toward treatment. In September my doctor felt it would be about a year and I’d need it. He started scheduling me back every 3 months to keep a closer eye. I started Keto about the time of my appt in September. Went back in December and my numbers had improved. He ask me what I’d been doing and told him the only thing different was Keto. He said keep doing it and we’ll market it as a cancer treatment. Now I don’t know if it will continue to improve but it keeps me going. I do know that cancers feed on sugar.
