There’s this concept floating around some keto circles that A) insulin causes fat storage B) fat doesn’t spike insulin so C) if you eat low carb/low protein and high fat, the fat doesn’t get stored. A is true, B is true, but you always have basal insulin (unless you’re type 1 diabetic) so excess energy you eat of any sort will get stored eventually (except in some cases). Our bodies are shaped by millions of years of evolutionary pressure to be efficient and not waste precious resources.
