do you guys prefer male or female bettas?

So, do you guys prefer male or female bettas? I’ve always owned males, but since my last guys’ passing, I’m starting to contemplate whether I want to give females a shot.. when I get my new tank up and running it’ll be going into a 37 gallon planted tank with a few guppies, a couple of tetras and a Mickey Mouse platy. More fish will be added to the tank too when the time comes.

personality wise, my favourite of my fish is a girl, she’s very personable and interactive in a way my boys have never been. But i prefer the flashier look of males

I like both. Females are harder to find in pretty colors though, so I snatch them up when I find a beauty

You could try a sorority if it works it is awesome but sometimes it’s more work than you want
