I tried eating at a fairly large strict keto surplus for about 3 months & gained a negligible amount of weight. I found it interestingly difficult to add body weight despite all my lifts constantly improving. I even went down to 3 workouts a week. If you figure it out let a brotha know!
Watch going to high on the protein. I feel back into my old way of thinking and pretty sure I knocked myself out of Keto and messed with being fat adapted. Energy just sunk, joints started to really ache again… All the good stuff went away. I put on more muscle than I was before though. Wasn’t really worth it to me. I’ve been back on moderate protein and I’ve upped my fat only. Not sure if I will continue with solid gains. Hopefully!!!
