I thought Dr. Gregor recommended hibiscus tea? I just checked the book, and it’s not mentioned. In fact, he recommends green and white tea over any herbal tea. Thoughts?
Check chapter 7. There’s hibiscus information in the section Foods for Additional Hypertension Protection.
Drinking several cups of hibiscus throughout the day for the antioxidant benefits is ideal, and ALSO drinking green or other tea for the brain effect benefits is ideal.
I started making a combined “cup” of tea – 1 bag each green and turmeric/ginger. Not sure if I will make it a trio with the hibiscus.
Depends what you want from tea. Antioxidants or lower blood pressure. Either tea is healthy and great for you. I just mix them up depending on what I feel like having that day.
He says hibiscus tea is effective for lowering blood pressure.
