For people adding muscle mass (bulking) what macros would be best?

For people adding muscle mass (bulking) what macros would be best? Or is it more to do with calorie surplus? I want to add some muscle but keep fat to a minimum.

You’ll increase your overall caloric intake. Additional protein is unnecessary and has actually been found to result in lower lean muscle mass. You’ll simply bump your fats.

Yes you need to eat at a surplus via fat until you start packing on more mass – then you need more protein to support that. But you can go up to 0.8-1g p per 1lb of lbm that you currently have. Unfortunately you will get some added ‘fluff’ whilst you build but once you cut again it will go.
