For starters I’m waiting to hear back from either my OB’s office (have yet to see her so her nurse at some point I’m expecting) or my surgeons office.. I’m just curious if anyone else has had similar issues and what they’ve done.
Ever since I’ve started taking prenatal vitamins I’ve been constipated more often than not… I assume the folic acid in it is to blame… because with my first two pregnancies this happened but not AS often! I eat plenty of fiber and other foods that normally help with regularity in bm’s but clearly it’s not helping…. has anyone ever taken anything like benefiber or something similar on a semi regular basis?
Check to see if they have iron, if they do it’s the iron. I’ve been having to take 2 stool softeners at bedtime and one in the morning and still end up having to take bisacodyl (laxative) around day 5 because I still don’t go. I’m more of a fan of senna-s it works awesome but not supposed to use whole pregnant. It might also be that you’re not getting enough fluids in to help flush everything out.
used to take miralax every other day. Under the direction of my dr. I’ve always had a problem with constipation, though. Since wls I eat popcorn. I know portions are a big thing after wls, but I eat the whole bag of microwave popcorn and the next day I clean out.
