For those of you who track their food: do you eat more than you normally would to fit your macros? Say you’re short on fat but are full for the day. What does everyone do? Also do you think 40 total carb and 22 net sound ok? I don’t really have more weight to lose, but I would like to lose more fat and replace with muscle. But the number on the scale is good.

Personally, if I am not hungry, I don’t eat. I am participating in a ketogenic weight cutting experiment so a few times I have eaten to fit macros, but that is a specific testing we are doing and wanted consistency. If you feel full, you are probably fine. As to carbs it’s really personal. Some can do 20g net carbs, some can do 20g total. Do some long term testing and track how you eat and feel to figure out what makes you feel best. Just my personal take.

Right now I’m tracking and I eat every gram of fat and protein my Coach gives me 0-10 total carbs is what my current goal is.

Eventually I won’t be tracking and will just follow my hunger track occasionally and if you notice you’re not eating over your BMR and it becomes chronic.

If you’re tracking, and you want to be on point with your macros, you need to eat everything in that allotment and only those things. Otherwise, you’re not hitting your macros at all. I personally have always counted total carbs and kept it less than 20g.

Keto is a high fat way of eating. No ifs ands or buts. Keto is a long term way of eating, ketosis is a state our body gets into. So, long term, it is high fat for me, a .little less or a little more, but nevertheless, always high fat. 2 1/2 years into this for me. No one can make me agree to lower my fats. The more I eat, the better I feel.
