What is the right time or healthy way to have fruit or fruit juice, before or after meal?

As JoAnn explained clearly, food combining is not something that is part of Dr. Essrlstyn’s very successful heart disease reversal program. The answer to your original question is eat fruit whenever you want: before, during, or after meals. There is no “right” time.

I don’t know what Esselstyn says about this, but I do know something about food digestion. According to principles of food combining, it is difficult to digest fruit with other categories of food. It takes about 20 minutes to empty the stomach after masticating and swallowing fruit, so wait 30 minutes or so before eating your regular meal after consuming a whole fruit. Wait until you have digested the meal before consuming a fruit. Why would you want to juice a fruit and throw away all that valuable fiber?

What are the main causes of poor digestion?
1) Overeating
2) High Fat foods (we don’t digest fat very well)
3) Too much variety of foods at one meal
4) Stress
