Guys, anyone noticed faster recovery doing CrossFit? My teammate doing the same weights as me during wod and exercising the same amount of days and hours is confused as she has pain in muscles in 24 hours. Me – weirdly not that much of pain and I’m not taking bcaa as her. I’m on keto from September 2017. She is losing weight just eating balanced food with carbs. Just interested if keto makes you recover quicker :)) My coach cannot believe I’m recovering quicker than her, he thinks ketogenic diet doesn’t fit CF.
Keto is an anti inflammatory woe which helps a great deal with recovery. It’s also a kind of ‘self cleaning’ woe and therefore we get lower lactic acid build ups. I rarely get sore post workouts. Even after running a full marathon I’m back in my killer heels straight away the next day.
I literally never get muscle sore and I always have fuel in the tank. I get people complaining at me constantly about it. We had a workout that was 800 meters of walking lunges and almost no one could walk the next 4 days. I was stomping an elliptical the next morning. I actually had someone tell me, “Then you weren’t doing it right?” Seriously?!?!?!?!? It’s a lunge, dude, one foot forward, back knee on the ground, repeat. Not complicated. Maybe, just maybe, I am not the one doing it wrong, out of curiosity what have you eaten today? Total look of confusion on his face as I walk away from him. LOVE IT!!!!!!
