8 pounds a month is a great goal! That means you need to burn 1000 more calories than you consume every day. The advice I would give would be to stick to the math… figure out your TDEE (total daily energy expenditure – how many calories you burn everyday), and make sure you are eating 1,000 calories fewer than that number. Write down everything, and watch what kind of carbohydrates you are eating. “Empty” carbs, carbs that come from sugar, white flour, etc. mess with insulin levels and can leave you feeling hungry sooner, so you tend to overeat when the majority of your calories are coming from foods that are high in them. I stick to a 1200 calorie per day diet that is under 50 grams of net carbs per day.
That’s perfect amount.. but don’t get discouraged if you don’t lose that much every month and be excited if you do I measure and take pics the first of every month in shorts and bra to compare. Weight fluctuates so easily! But that’s weigh first thing in the morning after you pee and naked.. that will get you the best result.
I do intermittent fasting. I only eat from 1-7p.m. it keeps me controlled
I count calories and make healthy choices, no processed junk or food with preservatives
I run because I love to run. But you should just find a way to exercise that you enjoy!
