I hope someone can guide me in the right direction here, I am trying to go vegan but I track my macros on MyFitnessPal and in order to keep them in the right % I have not been able to stop eating egg whites and greek yogurt so my question for you is how do you get enough protein from plant sources without increasing your carbs and fat intake like crazy? | I have this issue too, all the proteins on this chart are super high in fat or carbs. I end up doing 2 protein shakes with 2 scoops of protein powder and use meat subs in my meals, this helps even it out.
If i don’t do the shakes my calories end up really low and my protein is at like 15%. i try to also incorporate a lot of broccoli, quinoa, lentils, beans and chia or flax into what I’d normally eat so that it ends up higher in protein. I also use the dried peanut butter powder in smoothies and season with nutritional yeast. I hope that helps!!
