Hi everyone! I’m new to the group and I was wondering if anyone felt the same way as me? When I gain weight it has the opposite effect on me. Most people get motivated to lose the weight and work harder. Me on the other hand, just want to curl in a ball or eat more. Ugh. Help!!! How do I break this way of thinking?

I have a saying I heard and it really made sense to me. I googled it and now it is the screen on my phone. Because typically my phone is in my hand when I’m looking for food. I’ll see it and really think about it

I also use an app to track calories. It makes me stop and think if I really want it , instead of mindless snacking. I don’t just pop things in my mouth without thinking anymore

I’m the same way usually. U have to get to a point where u buy the healthy food u need, kick out junk if you can, and know that if you DO stick to the diet, you WILL lose weight. If u splurge one night, realize when you’re messing everything up, STOP, enjoy what you had, and focus on TOMORROW. Will u gain 3000 calories or eat 1200?

My best suggestion is a mindset shift! Losing weight is never linear, that number fluctuates up and down but still trends down.

One bad meal or one bad day isn’t going to de-rail you numbers wise, and it’s up to you to not let it mentally, either! If getting into your dream body really truly is something you want, then learn from the negatives. Remember how hard you worked the rest of the week to get into that calorie deficit.

Losing weight isn’t a sprint; it’s a marathon. Make up for it tomorrow
