How does everyone do water changes?

How does everyone do water changes? I’m trying to find ways to make mine go easier. I don’t remove anything and I use a syphon to get the waste at the bottom and put it in a bucket. I refill a 2.5 gallon water container and put the betta safe in the water container and put in the tank. He has a five gallon tank. I usually end up with fish water on myself because I forget to empty the syphon of the water that is sitting in the tube I’m just curious to see how you all go about your water change

I take a juice pitcher and empty it into a bucket. Then I jump the bucket down the tub. Fill the bucket with the tub and slowly pour it in. I never remove my fish, causes him to Much stress to be removed than it does to clean

I syphon the water into a five gallon bucket that used to be a litter bucket. I then have a former distilled water jug with the clean water in it that I’ve prepped in advance, and pour in as much needed. Then to the bathroom to dump the bucket and refill and prep new clean water for the best change.
