How to eat Whole Foods Plant Based on a budget if you’re very active? Can you eat an oil free/low oil whole foods plant based vegan diet without spending a shit ton on nuts & seeds?
Asking for a male friend who’s very active and needs to eat a LOT.

Staples that you can buy in bulk would be best. Chia and ground flax are very inexpensive if you buy in bulk. Also beans in bulk are super cheap!

Whole grains, oatmeal, potatoes and legumes are probably the cheapest foods you can buy.
Compared to the cost of meat and dairy it’s a no brainer.

Potatoes are the most satiating food you can get, I eat 3 per day. Oatmeal is also great like others have said. Filling up on large volumes a day of raw and steamed veggies helps me to stay full, I eat nearly 3k calories a day.
