When I work with people I literally change one thing a week so it becomes a habit change, it then becomes normal to adhere to this. Belly fat can suggest you have an insulin issue, it just means you are consuming too much sugar, normally diet related but monitor it as you move forward as it could be bloating due to an intolerance.

This helps me a lot too as I need to lose belly fat. I know I drank a lot of coca cola and now it seems to be going down slowly as I have stopped it. I am trying to stay away from refined sugars

Eliminate sugar, eat a lot more green veggies and lean protein and drink a TON of water. Also core exercises, not crunches or Ab Exercises but things that target your deep core.

You can’t just lose belly fat. You have to lose overall fat.
