I absolutely hate wearing shoes while working out. Maybe it’s the fit and width, either way I end up with my feet hurting so badly that I end up taking them off within a few minutes. I’ve been hearing amazing things about Vibrams. Does anyone have a pair? Any thoughts?

I have 4 pairs of vibrams for teaching PiYo in. I love them and find them super comfortable. I wouldn’t however want to wear them for anything with impact, but then that’s why I love PiYo classes, high intensity but joint friendly. I think it would very much depend what type of workouts you would do with them.

I work out at home and its a carpeted floor, I work out consistently barefoot.

Be careful when working out in barefoot. There are so many tiny bones in the foot that be damaged without correct support.

Have you been wearing running shoes or cross trainers? Many people don’t realize there’s a difference. Running shoes are designed for heel to toe movements only while cross trainers will support your feet for side to side movements as well.

For what it’s worth, I used to work out without shoes and ended up with painful heel spurs. Just be careful.
