I did leg day followed by 40 minutes of sprinting 30 seconds and walking 2-3 minutes. I woke up yesterday feeling unbelievably sore, (as I expected) and even today I can barely walk. I’m not trying to complain, I would like tips on faster recovery as I was supposed to do cardio again today and I took a few steps running and almost collapsed. How do you recover faster?
BCAAs and Epsom salts have been helpful for me. If you have had a really tough workout or long run an ice bath might be in order. Heat may feel great, but cold will reduce inflammation. I’ve only used this after a couple of half marathons and it really helped with recovery.
