I hate taking salt. Pink Himalayan salt is great on eggs. By itself? Ugh. What are thoughts on putting them in capsules? Also, I’ve seen Swerve (etheritol) recommended as the best keto sweetener/sugar replacement. Yet it has 4g of carbs per tsp. What gives? How is it a great sweetener if other non-aspartame based sweeteners have 0g?

Lots of people put it in capsules; you can even buy the pink salt capsules already made on Amazon.

If memory serves me correctly most sweeteners have some sort of Carbohydrates, but aren’t always listed because they are (some only claim to have) no glycemic index, meaning they don’t spike glucose.

Something I found in another keto forum on Swerve: “It is true that Swerve contains carbs, but these carbs are coming from the sugar alcohol Erythritol, which is not absorbed by the body (similar to how fiber is not absorbed). Therefore, you would not “count” these carbs towards your total carb intake for the day.”

I make my own pink salt capsules. I carry them with me on runs and in my purse.

I put the Salt in a Glass, Quarter of a Tea spoon add Lemon suice direct from a organic Lemon, wait a second and then add Table Water…..I Like it.. You will not really taste the Salt….it tastes bit like the stuff you add to Tequilla.
