I have to try and fit my head through my front door!

About 3 months ago I’m engulfed in one of my workouts. Now I don’t bring water with me because in between sets, its a perfectly timed rest period to put weights down.. walk to fountain.. drink.. return and resume. As I’m on my way back to the circuits, I encounter a man on a crutch. As he hobbled past me I point out his dedication. Turns out.. He is a Marine, whom only 9 months prior, crashed into the side of a mountain in the military plane they were in. He was one of 2 survivors. From that day forward I watched him show up every day. EVERY DAY! I spoke to him as much as one does trying not to be a pest at the gym. Yesterday.. I complimented him on the loss of his crutch, and his progress in muscle gain. Then he blew my mind. He looked at me and stated that he wanted to be ready before he asked, and felt he was. Then proceeded to tell me that he had been watching me. That my workouts were the most intense he has seen, including his time in the service. That just in the time we met the results I’ve found were evident. That if I didn’t mind, he would be honored to workout with me. Are? You? Kidding? Me?

Sir.. I am the honored one. There isn’t a soul on this planet I would rather spend my time with. Not every day a man gets to workout with his hero.

This made my day.

Now excuse me, I have to try and fit my head through my front door!
