I have tried to limit my exercises and sets, but need to warm up a lot with light movements before I attempt squats or leg presses. Any suggestions?

Okay,I have a question for all you old folks.. 🙂 I love working legs but for the past few years my knees have been creeking and cracking a little and I feel a little pain in them when I stand and sit. I have tried to limit my exercises and sets, but need to warm up a lot with light movements before I attempt squats or leg presses. Any suggestions?

more reps less weight. less rest between sets. look at sprinters legs. you don’t need to go heavy to achieve a decent mass.

If you have access to a stair mill, do 15 minutes on a low level (like 4 or 5) and your legs will be primed with blood

Have you tried glucosamine? I’ve been taking it for 3+ years and I never have joint problems, even though I do heavy deadlifts.

I *do* warm up a fair bit.

I believe that squats actually helped my knees, in that respect. I have no issue with them. Whether exercising or simply getting out of bed in the morning. I’m 58.
