I just purchased this beautiful tank 3 days ago for 25 bucks! Upon setting it up I cleaned it out scrubbed the tree and hiding place clean… Etc… I bought a new filter system, so like I said it’s been 3 days and it’s still very cloudy.. What can you ask spurts suggest I do without emptying the whole thing out again?

Probably needs time to settle. The tank has not cycled so your likely gonna need 30% water changes daily for a bit. Goldfish are messy and as this tank is too small, will become contaminated quickly. I’d purchase an API master testing kit to check water quality. You need to think of a better tank soon though i am afraid or fish will be stunted.

If the tank is 40G it’s fine for your fish, the clouding is a bacterial bloom. It’ll go away on its own as the cycle finishes. Unfortunately because you’ve already got a fish in there you’ll need to do water changed as your parameters get high, it’ll make your cycle time longer but it’s what’s best for the fish. Adding in some bacteria in a bottle would be good to kick start your tank.

The cloudiness settles after a few days but more importantly, your tank needs to cycle and you need to get a kit that tests ammonia, nitrite and nitrate. The API master test kit seems to be what a lot of people use. You’ll have to monitor these levels and probably daily water changes to bring the levels down. Google fish tank nitrogen cycle and you’ll find loads of information on cycling a fish tank. Good luck!
