Go back and see your doctor. I gained 40 after my back surgery and steroids . He put me on a diet pill to get me jumped started again . But i don’t eat . Rice , pasta , potatoes or bread . Haven’t eaten it since my surgery .

I wouldn’t personally undergo surgery for 25 lbs. go see your doc/nut. Find an in person support group. Get back to basics.

Try eating salads. Eat 3 x a day small meals. Up to 1 cup or as big as the palm of your hand. Then if hungry in between don’t eat junk have a salad.
Use app my fitness pal and log everything you eat.
Protein, veggies
Breakfast 1 egg omelette with veggies
Lunch salad with grilled chicken
Or soup
Dinner protein and veggies like chicken cutlet and stringbeans.
25 lbs is a lot but not to have surgery.
You can get right back on track. You also need to move/ exercise for at least 30 min a day. Anything you like to do.
Also keep active by going for hikes, having fun outdoors. You won’t be hungry when you are running around

Try looking at your vitamin levels. magnesium helped me get rid of carb cravings.

i also do a guided meditation for at least 10 minutes every day. helps keep me calm and less focussed on food 🙂

there is lots of good info above. Go back to basics. If your surgeon didn’t have a live support group, you may have trouble finding one. Come back in here daily and report weight and menu. Eat 3-5 times per day, no more than 1 cup of raw food (veggies) per meal. If you are mixing meat/fowl/fish and veggies, then look at 1/2 to 3/4 cup of food, max. Count those calories!! Substitute a liquid protein drink for one main meal. That will probably be 10 to 12 oz which is more than a cup. Next step is EXERCISE! 45 to 60 minutes a day, every day. You can walk the dog, mow the lawn, for 20 to 30 minutes, then do weights/resistance for the balance of the time.
