|I need some support, please! I moved a few months ago. Stressful. During that time, I started eating things lots of carbs because it was quick and filling. I have been struggling to get back into my LC eating and I am having a hard time getting back on that horse!|
|Oh, I hear you. I’ve done that…. several times. Not the moving, but just getting caught up in life and not having meals planned out well. Ugh. I’m discovering the most efficient method for getting back into ketosis and feeling well is also the hardest method for the first few days: fasting.
Anyway, rant away.
|Yes, water and salt/potassium. That’s the simplest idea. 2-3-4 days to start if you haven’t done it before.
I’m playing around with two patterns: one a monthly, the other within the same week.
There are different fasting methods:
-A “fat fast” which is just what it sounds like: if you are truly hungry, eat fat. Dana Carpender’s Fat Fast Cookbook is wonderful for that reason. Most of the scientific literature I’ve seen tends to say that anything 500 calories or below is a fast. However, if you want to take advantage of autophagy, then nothing.
Don’t forget to end your fast with … a feast!
|Try Shock Treatment? Go to the Diabetic ward of your local Hospital and look at all the folks in wheelchairs with missing toes and feet?
That is in your future if you eat lots of High carbs unfortunately.
Think back to what motivated you to start a LCHF lifestyle. nothing has changed.
