|I actually started with a personal trainer March 26, 2016, working 3days a week, I eventually went up to 4 days and then 6 days which is what I’m at now. All workouts from day 1 have been strength training, meaning we’ve done everything with some sort of weights, whether 5lbs or now 35lb dumbbells, weighted medicine balls, etc., we’ve always used weights, which were a major contributing factor to my weight loss. Especially early on….
I modified my diet by portion controlling and limiting the sweets (which are my weakness) I ate. I never really cut carbs or fats, I just ate smaller portions and stayed within my calorie limits on My Fitness Pal.
It took me 10 months to lose my first 100lbs, then I got down to about 165Ish, and became complacent, cut down on working out and started eating more… Major mistake, I gained about 20lbs over a 3 month period, and I knew I needed to get a handle on things!!! So here I am, grinding once again. You’ve got to commit, and you have to stay focused, never become complacent, because all your hard work can definitely go down the drain in a blank of an eye!!
