I use my fitness pal to count my calorie intake, and when I work out it gives me a higher calorie amount. Is it ok to use those extra cal?

No, you’re not supposed to eat back the calories you’ve burnt otherwise there will be no deficit and will take longer to lose weight.

Set your calories & eat to them don’t log exercises or log weight if weighing yourself it will mess everything up. As Debra said you need to be in a calorie defect to lose weight.

I use a fitbit and aim to eat 500 to 1000 calories less than what I burn. 500 would be to lose a pound a week and 1000 would be 2 pounds. Days I work out I eat a bit more and days I don’t I eat less.

As long as you’re eating nutrient dense foods then you should be good. If your tracking calories make sure everything is accounted for but overall form reading your post you shouldn’t feel guilty eating just try your best next time and keep moving forward.

I use spark people to track and it lets you set whether you count the exercise calories or not. Check your settings maybe you can change it.
