I want to start Intermittent Fasting but like to continue the morning bulletproof coffee. Suggestions?

If the major benefits of IF (even on a normal diet) is that the body starts to burn fat and ketones to preserve glycogen in absence of glucose; then I don’t see how drinking a tablespoon of fat would be breaking a fast as it’s not contributing any glucose whatsoever.

Skip dinner instead of breakfast. That way, you’re asleep when you’re at your hungriest.

Could wean off of it. Ditch the butter for a week, then go down to just a tablespoon of cream, then take it black.

Varying schools of though. Fung notes a small amount of coffee is acceptable. Up to 1 T.
