I’m confused. Are you supposed to calculate your net carbs for each meal? Or can you just calculate your net carbs based on your total fiber intake for the day? For example, if I’m tracking what I eat and at the end of the day my log says I’ve had a total of 40g carbs and 20g fiber, do I count that as 20g net carbs for the day? Or am I supposed to do this each food/meal?

You should count total carbs and try and do a macro calculator.

I really like the sensa app.. Its free and tracks macros for you.. Just input food, it tells you what your net carbs, proteins and fats are.

Ok. Your goal will be 20-40g(or whatever you’ve decided) net carbs usually. So that’s what you’re going to consume in the whole day, but the only way really to make sure you don’t go over is to keep track of net carbs throughout the day.

Up to you how you do it … personally I like to track every meal so I know where I’m at and what I have left.

I pay attention to my net carbs at every meal so I know what I have left, but you can subtract total fiber from carbs at the end of the day. And 20 net or less for the day is where you should be.
