I’m thinking about which brand of AR/MSR to get. The major manufacturers have them – S&W, Ruger, Mossberg, Springfield, Colt, Savage. I’d rather buy one from a major mfr than build it from parts. I want one with a dust cover and forward assist, free-floating front end, some rail system for sights/accessories, adjustable stock. But I’m really finding it hard to see a clear standout favorite around $800 budget.

One thing – I can’t stand the A2 front sight. Give me a flat top. Can’t explain that. Just makes my eyes hurt.

I’d appreciate everyone’s input.

Tiger AR556 MOE all under $800 optics, sling and case and all magpul furniture. Eats everything I feed it and very accurate up to 200 yards. I haven’t pushed it out any further yet however feel good it will perform.

Check out ar performance for your barrel. Or black hole weaponry.
Both are quality with ARP being cheaper in price. Buy a matching striped upper and lower I’ve had good luck with Anderson’s some don’t like them but I haven’t had any issues. Stay away from the polymer lowers they’re ok but if you shop around you can get just as good a deal on aluminum. Cmg trigger jse $50.00 dollar handguard and low pro gas block and tube. Jse will have everything you need .
