Is it true that store bought ground flax seeds already lose its nutrients?

Dr. Greger has said that buying ground is fine, and that they stay good for around 4 months at room temperature after grinding.

Not sure. To be safe, I grind my own once a week and store it in a glass jar in the refrigerator.

The fats oxide quickly once they’re ground and exposed to air. Not an issue when you buy commercially ground/packed as they’re sealed. If I buy ground, I put some in a small container, refrigerate that and pop the rest in the freezer. Whole is the same – grind what I need, fridge, rest to freezer.
