Is there anything I can do other than “getting rid” of the shrimp? Will the eggs even hatch?

So I just noticed one of my ghost shrimp is carrying eggs. Obviously I don’t want my tank overrun with shrimp. Is there anything I can do other than “getting rid” of the shrimp? Will the eggs even hatch? If so will my betta eat the baby shrimp? Thanks again I’m advance!

Shrimp are not like snails. When they hatch, many will get eaten by your betta. Any that make it to adulthood can be given away, traded, or sold locally. I would be so excited if I was in your shoes.

Very possible betta will eat the babies

I think the tank has to be the right temperature, water level and type for them to hatch. I’ve had egg bound shrimp before and the eggs never made it.

Ghost shrimp babies require lots of floating algae and infusoria to survive. The possibility of your betta eating them is high. What type of filter are you running?
