I’ve always treated cardio/running like **the thing you do to lose weight**, but recently I’ve had friends try 50/50 cardio and weights. In your experience, can this be more effective than cardio only? And, should I have a small carb before the workout or rely on fats or proteins only?
Weights give your body shape and definition. Cardio can indeed help you lose weight, but weights are really valuable. Besides, the metabolic effects of lifting are more prolonged than with cardio. Carbs are never necessary. If you’re trying to become fat fuelled, why add sugar?
How would weight training not play a significant part of fat loss. Yes I know that diet is number one. Bit a person who lifts weight and tears the muscle tissue then recovers and in a since make more muscle. More mulsce then leads to the body burning more calories at rest.
