Yoga has been transformative for me in general. I’ve been practicing for 6 years and keto for a year. Do you already have experience with yoga? If you’re new to both, be very gentle with yourself. Be prepared to take childs pose or shivasana (on your back) when others are making shapes. Drink 16 oz of water an hour before class. Have 1/4-1/2 tsp sea salt 20 minutes prior to class. SIP water in class. Too much water will pull the blood from your limbs/brain to your belly and make you feel faint. Have some salt handy for after class. That water you sip in class might be best off with sea salt in it. And drink lots and lots of water after class. If you have a yoga practice, you’re going to notice you sweat a whole lot more now.
Have you dine HY before? If not prepare to feel like you’re going to die the 1st couple of times you do it. It’s ok to lay down for half the class as you get used to it. It once you do its amazing used to go all the time. Bring ice cold frozen water bottles with you (at least 2) and wrap your sweat towel around them. Hydrate hydrate hydrate.
