Just introduced a group of four cories in my 10g with my male Betta and he is nipping at them. Is this normal?

You should remove them if he’s nipping. Most bettas are aggressively territorial and will kill other fish that are in the tank.

I thought they only went after other male bettas?

It depends on the betta. Some do fine, others don’t. Usually the betta needs
to be the last fish in the tank to prevent him claiming the entire tank as territory,
however a 10 gallon tank is not large enough for a school of Cory cats in the
long run anyway they need at least a 20 gallon unless you have specifically
pygmy cories and in case you didn’t know this part already they also require
sand substrate to prevent damage to their barbels
