Lightheaded during lifting (squats specifically), low sodium? Normal progression with keto?
Sounds like low sodium to me. Do you add some to your water? I add sole to my bottle of water, and NuSalt too.
I supplement magnesium and 2+tsp salt but maybe not keeping up with my potassium.
I am still working on getting my electrolytes “right”. As my macros change I find I need to adjust as well.
That’s strange. I’ve been getting light headed during deadlifts and never suspected an electrolyte imbalance. Good to know!
P&V’s book discusses this specifically and suggests it’s normally due to low sodium levels. I think the recommendation was 2g of sodium about an hour before you workout. I could be mistaken though.
