My baby brother served in the military. He sustained two traumatic brain injuries and he suffers from severe PTSD. Tonight has been a bad night. Just got him to the VA for a voluntary admission, as he has become a danger unto himself and he’s trying valiantly to cope.

I know that I’ve talked about working to do pushups, but the reason it is so important to me to be able to do the pushups is because I want to do The 22 Pushup Challenge in honor of my brother and the struggles he faces on a daily basis. I know that doing 22 pushups won’t cure my brother or the many others who suffer from PTSD, but I will do whatever I can to bring awareness to the battle our veterans face once they leave the war zone.

If you pray, I am asking for special prayer for my brother and anyone else who may be fighting the demon of a broken memory. Also, if you’ll please pray that I keep going strong until I have the strength to complete the 22 Pushup Challenge. I know this isn’t completely fitness related, but we’RE family and this is one facet of my WHY.

I love and appreciate you all. Hope you have a blessed evening.
