Ok guys so this evening I was working on my car and cutting up a tree that fallen as I cut the chainsaw off I heard a coyote howl within 200 yards of the house so went and got the e-call and gun and called for about 40 mins just as I was getting ready to wrap everything up a different pack started howling from a different direction what would be the best calls to use I’ve tried challenge howls, pup cries, rabbit distress and nothing showed just trying to thin em out a little.

Might be on the edges of their running area, could make a good challenge to call them in. I had good luck with female coy sub, and pup dist 3 on Sunday.

also to mention if you have a lonesome howl, unagressive type play that one or two times. this will start them up and the two sounds above will finish them off. be patient. they more than likely will not come in running.

this is the breeding season now. will your caller play MP3? if you can install MP3 sounds…that is if the caller will allow it. go to Tony Tebe’s web page and buy these sounds. 1-900-Coyote, and Yes Big Daddy, these sounds need to be used NOT at max loud. they need to start out quetly then increase the sounds but not to the point of echoing in the woods or where ever you are.
