For those of you that use a python water change system, what do you do to have the right temperature coming out of the faucet so you don’t shock your fish?
When I used one I used the bottom outlet and let it go into a decent sized container and popped a thermometer in it.
I use a digital thermometer and make sure water goes in exact temp.
There’s a drain on the bottom of the tap attachment. I open it and feel the water before I start filling. I stop the tap periodically and check midway as well.
I use an inexpensive temperature gun for verification, but I’ve been doing this long enough that I can go by feel and I’m generally within a degree or two.
Fill a cup with water and use a glass thermometer.
