I am curious about something I hope the members of this group can help me with one video I saw that heart patients should eat 6 green servings a day for at least 6 months. Does that mean after 6 months, as long as you eat lots per day, you can back off the 6 per day? I hoping someone will know the answer to this. Thank you in advance.

If it is forever, it’s really not that hard. I’ve gotten used to it; just a part of my daily routine.

I believe this question was asked at the Esselstyn monthly lecture forum and the answer was 1 Year? It does not mean that one should stop eating lots of leafy greens throughout the day. After 6 months – 1 Year if someone eats greens 4-5 times/ day they will be fine . Just my 2 cents, it is easier to keep eating the greens six times/day, I look forward to my snack of a bowl of kale.

This diet is not easy for me. But having 4 blocked arteries is worse! Whenever I feel tempted to be noncompliant I think about that.
