So I hate running. Mostly because I can’t run for long at all. So I want to work on it. Any runners in here that started out by not running like ever? Did you use C25K? Or something else?

I used C25K. I started out barely able to run the 30 second segments. I followed the program and was actually able to run a 5k by the end!!

I used C25K and it worked like a charm! That was a few years ago, I have recommended it to other friends who have also had success. Currently I am training for a half marathon and I was never a runner.

I used C25k. I’ve now run countless 5ks, twenty half marathons and two full marathons including NYC.

Running Room in Canada is a great place to learn to run. They will start you off at running 1 minute, then walk a minute, for 10 times. You will do this 3 x a week, and week 2 will be run 2 min, walk 1, x 10 for 3 days. Week 3 = run 3, walk 1, etc.

Galloway 5k Program. It is intervals and a very gentle way to start running. I hurt myself trying C25K. It was too much too fast for me. Galloway was perfect.
