Longer fasts are always more beneficial but the best fast for you is the one you are comfortable with. Give a 16:8 a go and see how u do.

Anything over 12 hours is doing your body good!!!

Dr. Rhonda Patrick has stated that the 10 hour eating window is more important than the length of the IF. There’s also an app out there called Zero that advocates 1. 13 hour fast and 2. Eating only when the sun is up… For whatever that is worth.
