Well I called in enough crows to pack a mature whitetail off, heard a fox yipping at me but never saw it, but no coyotes , so my question is this. If hunting alone, should the wind still be in your face or should it be at your back?

In your face or cross wind. They almost always circle down wind of the call

You want the wind in your face or you can hunt crosswind but you should never hunt with the wind at your back you won’t see anything.

I like calling a cross wind so I can keep eye down wind… I don’t give a shit if a coyote walks 20 yards upwind of me… He will circle down wind if I don’t move or make noise and spook it.
