What are my fellow 50+ folks doing to generate motivation in the gym?

I take more days off between sessions, makes me look forward to it a lot more and I still get great results. I also write down my workouts and set goals. Every time I go in and pick up a weight I know what I need to do to move in the right direction. Same with cardio, I set goals.

To many people go in and just mess around, they think just by lifting and doing some cardio they will get results, NOT TRUE! Learn, educate yourself, know what you are doing. Most do way to much and they don’t work hard enough.

Don’t need motivation. It’s a way of life for me and I get cranky if something tries to get in between me and gym time.
