Ok. So I’m heartbroken.
About A week ago I posted about Marine who had been in a terrible military plane crash. A warrior that to my surprise asked to join my.. ..MY.. ..workout.
Well up until today, I had not heard or seen him. Finally, I spotted him and asked why had he not contacted me. His reply had me dumbfounded. He stated that, as he had stated before, he had been watching my circuits. Yesterday was my chest day and he silently watched unbeknownst to me. He said that the amount of weight I was working with intimidated him. That such a cut in weight between reps would make him look and feel silly and that he just felt he’d be in the way.
Now keep in mind. This warrior, has been my inspiration from the day I met him. On my “I don’t wanna” days I think of him. I tried to explain to him that I train several others that he just happens to be witnessing my personal works. That weight is not essential for an amazing workout and we would adjust. I’m not sure I got through to him.. I gave him my number and referred him to this group, along with one last plea.
“Work with me once.. I’m going to push you to your limit, yet respect your limit.”
What do I do family? This guy is my real life hero! I would be so honored to work with him.
